Finally RBI released bank holiday list, know when banks will remain closed in February

February 2025 is just around the corner, with less than a week to go! It’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the holidays coming up this month, especially if you have any banking tasks to handle. The RBI has published a complete list of bank holidays for February. This month, banks will be closed for a total of 14 days, which includes weekly holidays (Saturdays and Sundays) as well as various regional festivals.

Some of these holidays will be recognized nationally, while others will vary by state due to local celebrations. So, if you need to take care of any banking matters in February, be sure to keep these holidays in mind ahead of time.

List of Bank Holidays in February 2025

February 2: All banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday.

 

February 3: Banks will remain closed in Agartala on the occasion of Saraswati Puja .

 

February 8: Being the second Saturday of the month, there will be a bank holiday across the country.

February 9: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.

February 11: Banks will remain closed in Chennai due to Thai Poosam.

February 12: Banks will remain closed in Shimla on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti.

February 15: Banks will remain closed in Imphal on account of Lui-Ngai-Ni.

February 16: Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday.

February 19: Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur on account of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.

February 20: Banks will remain closed in Aizawl and Itanagar on account of State Day.

February 22: All banks across the country will remain closed as it is the fourth Saturday of the month.

February 23: All banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday.

February 26: Most banks across the country will remain closed due to Mahashivratri.

February 28: Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Losar in Gangtok.
