Bharat Gaurav Train: This luxury train will run for the Mahakumbh, the facilities will blow ypur mind

Are you also looking forward to going to the Mahakumbh Mela? But don’t know how to go? Then there is good news for you. The Mahakumbh is set to take place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh starting January 13. People from all over India and even from abroad are expected to flock to the Kumbh, with around 400 million attendees anticipated this year. A huge number of these visitors will be traveling by train. To accommodate this, IRCTC has introduced the ‘Bharat Gaurav Train’ running from Pune to Prayagraj specifically for the Mahakumbh. This train will operate from January 13 to February 23, with the possibility of an extension if needed. It’s important to note that this service is exclusively for the Kumbh.

The Bharat Gaurav Train is part of the central government’s ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ initiative aimed at boosting domestic tourism. This train is designed to highlight India’s rich culture and heritage, offering luxury amenities that set it apart from regular trains. It will be themed, allowing passengers to explore various tourist attractions across different cities in one trip. Along with Prayagraj, the train will also stop in Varanasi and Ayodhya.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) West Zone has launched a package called ‘Mahakumbh Gram IRCTC Tent City Prayagraj’. This package covers travel, meals, and accommodations in tents for pilgrims visiting Prayagraj.

 

The fare for this special train is quite unique. Whenever a new train launches, the first thing people think about is the ticket price. While the Bharat Gaurav train will be run by the railway, the ticket costs will be set by tour operators. The Bharat Gaurav train will feature 14 coaches, accommodating around 1000 passengers. It will travel through key religious sites in Uttar Pradesh, including Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya, and will also make stops in Maharashtra at places like Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, and Bhusawal. Passengers will have the opportunity to explore these tourist spots up close.
