Driving License New Rule: Efforts have begun to simplify the process of getting a driving license in Bihar. Now, there is no need to visit the DTO office for a license. All the work can be done online from home. You can get a learning license within minutes while sitting at home. For this, the Transport Department is testing new software. If everything goes well, these rules will come into effect from 2025. Under this rule, you can apply from your mobile and get your license easily.
Learning License Will Be Available in Minutes
According to the new software of the Transport Department, applicants can now apply for a learning license from home using their mobile. After applying, they will have to answer 10 questions related to the MV Act online. It is mandatory to answer at least 6 out of 10 questions correctly. If they pass, the e-learning license will be generated immediately on their mobile. If they fail in the first attempt, they can try again. Currently, applicants have to visit the DTO office for this process.

No Need to Visit DTO Office for Driving Test
In the second stage of getting a license, there is no need to visit the DTO office. Applicants with a learning license will have to visit a nearby driving school in their district. The driving track there will have CCTV cameras linked to the Transport Department’s portal. As the applicant drives on the track, a computer connected to the CCTV will evaluate their performance. If the driver meets all the driving standards, the computer will pass them.
Driving License Will Be Sent by Post
Once the applicant clears the driving test, the DTO will approve their details. The information will then be sent to a private agency for card printing. After processing, the driver’s license card will be sent to the applicant’s address via post. Currently, the Transport Department is testing this new software. If the trial is successful, these rules will be implemented in 2025, making the process easier for everyone.
