In West Bengal, the government is making significant changes in ration distribution, how much ration a cardholder customer will get in December, let’s find out.
For the month of December, some major changes have been made. Additional food items are being provided to certain groups. Let’s take a closer look at the ration allotment for different types of ration card holders.
AAY Ration Card
AAY ration cards are issued to the poorest families in the state. AAY cardholders are the primary beneficiaries of the WB state’s food distribution system. These cardholders will get the maximum amount of food items. This type of ration card holder’s gets 21 kg Rice per family,
13.3 kg Flour or 14 kg Wheat and 1 kg Sugar.
SPH and PHH Ration Card
The ration cards of these two categories, which serve ration to middle-income families, are not given both wheat and flour to ration holders in this category. Only get one of these, depending on availability. The allotment amount is also slightly less as compared to AAY cardholders. This type of card holder’s gets 2.5 kg Rice per person 1 kg Flour.
RKSY – 1 and RKSY – 2 Ration Card
Ration card holders under this category get the minimum amount of food items. The ration of these cardholders is usually minimal. 5 kg of rice per person for RKSY-1 card holders and 2 kg of rice per person for RKSY-2 card holders.
