Another big news is revealed regarding pension. If you are also a pensioner, then this article is for you. Already a notification issue. There is a point where we are all forced to retire at some point after a long career. Even if the health is good, it is compulsory to retire due to a certain age limit. Then comes the real question—how will the family run this time? Government employees get pensions from their place of work. For this, an application form has to be completed and submitted after retirement.

Notification issues

The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare has issued a notification that government employees can now fill their pension applications online. For this, they have to submit Form 6 through Bhavishya or the e-HRMS portal. Retired government employees will now have to apply for pension in online mode by submitting a new Single Pension Application Form 6. This new application system launched by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) will make the process of claiming pension easier and faster with a convenient online experience. It has been implemented from 6 November 2024.

Apply online

Earlier, retired employees had to fill out the pension application form on paper and submit it to the EPFO. Now they have gotten rid of this problem. Applications for speedy processing of pensions now have to be submitted online. Single Pension Form 6 allows retirees to fill their personal details, Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) account, and bank account details in one place.

Form 6

According to the notification issued by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare on November 11, the pension application process of government employees will be conducted online and they will have to submit their Form 6 through their Provident/e-HRMS portal.

Benefits of Single Pension Application Form 6A

The new Single Pension Application Form 6 has made the process of submitting the pension form a single step for the employees. It has completely digitized the entire process, from pension processing to the initiation of retirement payments. This has made the pension process completely paperless. With an interface designed specifically for pensioners, retired employees can now rest assured that their pension forms will no longer be ignored and their pension payments will not be delayed for a long time.
