If you have a gas connection then today’s article is for you. Before the year end, the govt makes a big announcement regarding LPG Gas. The biometric process is now required to maintain the validity of the LPG connection. Checking gas safety is also crucial.
To achieve this, the government has set a deadline for finalizing the process by December 31. This information was provided by Dilip Thakur, the Director of Lakki Bharat Gas Rural Distributor. He mentioned that according to the directives from the Petroleum Ministry of the Government of India, it is essential for all LPG users to visit the nearest counter agency with their gas passbook, Aadhaar card and complete biometric e-KYC.
He stated that the gas connections of consumers who fail to complete the e-KYC process promptly will be shut off or deemed illegal. Consumers will be accountable if there is a disconnection of service. He mentioned that in addition to this, consumers who have had their gas connection for five years will also qualify for the scheme.
The agency will offer complimentary security inspection services in their residences. Through which gas pipes, regulators, stoves, etc., will be inspected. Specifically, he urged the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme to refill their gas cylinders at least every three months from the relevant gas agency. Conversely, if the consumer fails to take action, they will be accountable for any incidents pertaining to gas. He has urged all consumers to update their KYC and mobile numbers by December 31; otherwise, their gas connections will be deemed closed or invalid.
