Many types of facilities are being provided to the farmers by the government for irrigation. For this, the Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme is being run by the Central Government.
Apart from this, irrigation equipment and means of irrigation are being provided to the farmers on subsidies for irrigation of crops at the state level. In MP, Dr. CM Mohan Yadav is starting new irrigation projects to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers.
On the other hand, the Private Tube Well Subsidy Scheme is being run for this in Bihar. Under this scheme, farmers of the state are being given up to 80 percent subsidy on installing tube wells for irrigation in the fields.
That is, you can get a 24-hour irrigation facility by getting a tube well installed in your field by spending only 20 percent of the amount. Applications are currently going on for the Private Tube Well Scheme.

What is the Tube Well Scheme
To provide irrigation facilities to farmers for farming, the application process has been started by the state government under the Tube Well Scheme 2025. Under this scheme, farmers are given the facility to install tube wells on subsidy.
Under this scheme, there is a provision to give different subsidies to farmers according to the category. Under the scheme (Tube Well Subsidy Scheme), a maximum grant of 80% i.e. Rs 91,200 is given to the farmers by the state government. In such a situation, farmers can get tube wells installed at low cost by taking advantage of government subsidy.
How much subsidy will farmers get in the Tube Well Scheme
Under the Tube Well Subsidy Scheme, different subsidies are given to farmers according to the category by the state government. Under the scheme, 50 percent subsidy is given to the beneficiaries of general category. Whereas 70 percent subsidy is given to backward class and 80 percent subsidy is given to farmers of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe.
Documents required for application in tube well scheme
To apply for the tube well scheme (Tube Well Subsidy Scheme), farmers of the state will need some documents. To apply for the scheme, farmers will have to submit land ownership papers, and non-raiyat farmers will have to submit an agreement. Farmers who do not have land ownership papers can submit a genealogy certificate.
Apart from this, farmers will need Aadhar card, caste certificate, land ownership certificate (issued in the name of the farmer or head of the family) and passport size photo of the applying farmer and photo of the private tube well location where the tube well is to be installed.
How to apply for Tube Well Scheme
To avail the benefits of Tube Well Subsidy Scheme, farmers of the state will have to apply online by visiting the official website of Bihar Government https://horticulture.bihar.gov.in/.
After the application, the District Engineer Specialist, Agricultural Engineer, Agricultural Coordinator, and Certified Engineer of the Company along with the Chairman of the District Horticulture Development Committee will check the application and after this, it will be maintained by the District Assistant Director Horticulture.
