What is the purpose of the bima sakhi scheme?
The objective of Bima Sakhi Yojana is to make women economically empowered and self-reliant. Under this scheme, women of 10th pass can apply. Women from 18 years to 70 years can apply under this scheme. Women who will be part of this scheme will be known as insurance attendants. These women will help insuring all other women. The scheme will be launched by the Life Insurance Corporation.
Women will get 3 years training
Under the Bima Sakhi scheme, women will be trended for the first three years to give financial understanding. For this, special training will be given to women. Along with training, women will also get financial support. Women who complete 3 years of training will be given work as an insurance agent’s room. Not only this, bachelor pass women will get a chance to become development officers in LIC.
Who can apply?
- Women with tenth pass can apply under this scheme launched by the government.
- Women between the ages of 18 and 70 years can apply under this scheme.
- Bima Sakhi scheme is run for women only.

- To apply, women first have to go to the official website of LIC.
- Here women have to click on the insurance friend link.
- Now women have to enter their name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID.
- In this application form, women have to attach age proof, address proof, 10th mark sheet.
