That is, if people of the upper caste marry a Dalit family, then they can get money under the Inter-caste Marriage Scheme. By filling out the application form given above completely, your first process is completed. According to the rules, if you submit it to the state government or district (Dr Ambedkar scheme) administration, you can still avail of this benefit. After applying, the state government or district administration sends it to the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation.

Who will take advantage of this scheme

To take advantage of this scheme, you have to fulfill the eligibility according to these conditions. That is, if you come from the general category, then you have to marry a girl from the Dalit community. That is, the bride and groom should not be of the same caste.

The marriage should be registered under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. Keep in mind, that you have never married before (matrimonial law). If this is your second marriage, then you will not be able to take advantage of this scheme.

Also, if you have received any assistance amount for this marriage under any other scheme of the Central Government or State Government, then that amount will be deducted from your 2.5 lakhs.

How to apply

Whoever is a Dalit or Scheduled Caste member among the newly married couple, his/her caste certificate must be attached to the application.

The marriage certificate must also be attached to the application.

An affidavit of being legally married must also be submitted.

An important document must be attached to prove that the newly married couple was married for the first time.

Income certificate is necessary for husband and wife

The newly married couple must provide information about their joint bank account so that money can come into it. If the application of the newly married couple is found to be correct, then Rs 1.5 lakh is immediately transferred to their account, which they can withdraw if they want, while the remaining Rs 1 lakh is made into FD.

This scheme was started in 2013
