Farmers are already talking about when the next payment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be made. However, it will still be a little while before the funds are available. The next installment is anticipated to be released by next month. This program provides farmers across the country with an annual support of Rs. 6,000, distributed in three installments every four months.

Currently, awaiting the 19th installment, which is set to be given to farmers in the new year. Many farmers often wonder if both spouses in a household can benefit from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. It’s important to clarify that only the individual whose name is on the land registration can avail of this scheme.

Who qualifies for the scheme?

Typically, the benefits of the scheme are allocated to either the husband or the wife, as they are considered part of the same family unit. Therefore, both cannot receive benefits simultaneously. The scheme is designed for those who have agricultural land registered in their name, and other family members do not qualify. Spouses cannot both benefit from this program, meaning only one family member can receive assistance. To be eligible, farmers must own agricultural land of at least 2 hectares; those with less will not qualify for the scheme.

When can farmers expect PM Kisan’s funds?

The 18th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana was released just before the Maharashtra elections, and it has been nearly three months since that payment. Conversations are now focused on the 19th installment. According to media sources, the central government may release the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in February. However, there has been no official confirmation from the government regarding the timing of the payment.
