PM Kisan Samman Yojana: The central government is implementing an exemplary initiative aimed at providing financial support to small and marginal farmers in India, known as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This ambitious program by the Government of India allocates an annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to impoverished farmers, distributed in three installments.

Each installment consists of Rs 2,000

Each installment consists of Rs 2,000, which is transferred directly to the farmers’ accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. To date, a total of 18 installments of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana have been disbursed. On October 5 of the previous year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 18th installment in Maharashtra.

Next installment date

As more than four months have elapsed since this release, millions of farmers across the nation are now anticipating the 19th installment. Furthermore, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced that the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be released on February 24, 2025.

Can father and son both get benefits?

Additionally, many farmers often inquire whether both a father and son within the same family can benefit from this scheme simultaneously. According to the regulations of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, only one member of a family is eligible to receive benefits. The individual who can avail of the scheme must be the one in whose name the agricultural land is registered. Moreover, farmers who have not completed their e-KYC verification and land record updates will not be eligible for the forthcoming 19th installment. Therefore, it is imperative for those affected to complete these essential tasks promptly.
