PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a significant initiative by the Central Government that provides farmers with an annual support of 6,000 rupees. This amount is distributed in three installments of 2,000 rupees every four months, directly credited to the farmers’ accounts through DBT transfer.
This assistance is available to Indian farmers who own up to 2 hectares of land. The 19th installment has already been released, and farmers are now waiting for the next one. It’s important to note that only those who have completed the eKYC process, verified their land records, and linked their bank accounts with Aadhaar and NPCI will receive the installment.
According to the PM Kisan Yojana guidelines, the first installment is typically disbursed between April and July, the second from August to November, and the third from December to March. Therefore, the upcoming installment is expected to be released sometime between April and July. A total of 9.70 crore farmers are set to benefit from this scheme. For any issues related to the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers can reach out via email at pmkisan-ict@gov.in or call the helpline at 155261, 1800115526 (Toll Free), or 011-23381092.

Criteria
This often leads to questions about whether both spouses or multiple family members can access the Samman Nidhi funds. The answer is no. Only one spouse—either the husband or the wife—will be eligible for the benefits, specifically the one whose name is on the agricultural land registration. If multiple family members apply for the scheme, their applications will be rejected. Therefore, not all family members can benefit from this program. The central government has repeatedly emphasized that only one individual per farming family can receive assistance from the PM Kisan Yojana.
