Rajasthan Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana: To address health-related issues among the residents of Rajasthan, the state government launched the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme in 2021. Under this initiative, citizens can avail of health insurance coverage of up to ₹10 lakh in select government and private hospitals. Notably, the scheme provides cashless health insurance for the entire family, ensuring comprehensive health coverage.

To enrol in the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, individuals must apply online and provide the necessary information on the official website. Registration for the scheme can also be completed free of cost at any e-Mitra centre, as the state government covers the registration fee.

Announced in Budget 2022

In the Rajasthan Budget 2022, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expanded the scope of the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, increasing the coverage from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh. This enhancement allows residents to access free treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh in government and selected private hospitals. To benefit from this scheme, residents must register under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme.

Coverage of 1576 Diseases

The Chiranjeevi Scheme covers 1576 types of diseases. Eligible families need to pay 50% of the insurance premium, with a minimum annual premium of ₹850. The scheme also covers expenses incurred five days before hospitalization and 15 days after discharge. Families already enrolled in the Mahatma Gandhi Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme do not need separate registration.

Eligibility and Conditions

  1. Only families living below the poverty line are eligible for this scheme.
  2. Only permanent residents of Rajasthan can apply. Residents from other states are not eligible.
  3. Government employees are not eligible for the scheme.

  • Complete Registration at E-Mitra: Visit the nearest e-Mitra centre for free registration.
  • Receive Health Card: Get your health insurance card and start availing benefits.
