Many schemes are launched by the central and state governments to support farmers and boost their income. Similarly, the Madhya Pradesh government is running the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Promotion Yojana’ for paddy farmers. Under this scheme, the government plans to deposit ₹4,000 per hectare directly into the farmers’ accounts.
Why Farmers Will Benefit
Farmers in Madhya Pradesh who are cultivating paddy will receive financial assistance under the agriculture and farmer welfare scheme. The state government aims to support paddy procurement through this initiative.
When Will the Funds Be Transferred?
The benefit amount will be transferred to the farmers’ accounts in March.

Bonus for Wheat Farmers
In addition to the support price of ₹2,425 per quintal for wheat farmers, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced a bonus of ₹175 per quintal. This makes the total price ₹2,600 per quintal. The state is expected to produce 80 lakh metric tons of wheat this year.
The bonus will provide additional benefits to wheat farmers, but the government will need to spend around ₹1,400 crore to implement it.
