7th Pay Commission: Now central employees and pensioners are going to get a big gift from the Modi government. We designed the gift to ensure enjoyment for both employees and pensioners. We anticipate a 4% increase in the central government’s dearness allowance (DA).

With this, more than 1 crore employees and pensioners will get bumper benefits, which will be like a big gift for everyone. Previously, the government had refused to release the 18-month arrears of DA, which came as a significant shock. However, the working class was constantly demanding it. The date of the DA hike remains unspecified, but if media reports are accurate, we can approve it on 5 October 2024.

Know how much DA will be.

The central government is going to announce a 4 percent DA hike by October 5. Information about how much DA will increase is not available, but this input has definitely come from the sources. After this, it will increase to 54%, which will be a big relief. Currently, pensioners are getting the benefit of 50% DA.

The government’s decision to increase DA is sure to benefit approximately 1 crore families. The government last raised DA by 4% in March, and we are now anticipating their next directive. According to 3% DA, there will be a significant increase in employee salaries.

If the salary of the employees is Rs 40000, then according to 1% DA, there will be an increase of Rs 1600 per month. If calculated on a yearly basis, there will be a Rs 19200 increase.

There will be no 18-month DA arrears.

The Modi government has refused to give 18 months of DA arrears. In the Rajya Sabha, the government had made its position very clear. State Finance Minister Pankaj Chaudhary, while replying to the opposition MP in Rajya Sabha, had clearly refused to give DA arrears of 18 months. He had said that the government does not have any such proposal. However, central employees have been demanding this for a long time, to which the government has responded with great force.
