Central employees are going to be lucky, because the government is going to increase the dearness allowance (DA). The government can soon give this big gift before Dhanteras and Diwali, which will be like a big gift. It is believed that if the government increases the DA by 3 percent, then there will be a huge increase in the salary, which will be like a golden offer.

About one crore employees and pensioners are going to benefit from this. This increase in inflation will prove to be like a big dose. The Modi government has not officially announced the increase in DA. Such claims are being made in media reports, which is like a golden offer.

How much will the salary increase?

If the central government increases the DA of central employees by 3 percent, then it will increase to 53 percent. Due to this, there can be a huge increase in the salary of central employees. If the salary of a central employee is Rs 30000, then according to 3% DA, there is going to be an increase of Rs 900 every month.

The government increases DA twice every year, the rates of which are considered effective from January 1 and July 1. The rates of DA that the government will increase now will be considered applicable from July 1, 2024, which will be like a gift. Earlier in the month of March, the government had decided to increase DA. Its rate was considered applicable from January 1, 2024. Since then, everyone is waiting for the DA hike of the next half year, which is now about to end.

Setback on 8th Pay Commission

Central employees have suffered a major setback on the 8th Pay Commission. The government has flatly refused to form the 8th pay. Every ten years the government forms a new pay commission. Then it is implemented after two years.

The government had earlier constituted the 8th Pay Commission in 2014, which was decided to be implemented two years later in 2016. If the 8th Pay Commission is constituted now, it was to be implemented in 2026. The central government has refused to discuss the formation of the 8th Pay Commission in the Rajya Sabha.
