DA Hike: Government employees have been anticipating a special announcement for the past few days. It was known that in September, the government would increase the dearness allowance for employees.

However, this news may come as a shock to those anticipating their increased salary this month. Sources report that September will not see the announcement of the DA increase, but October could see its implementation.

Will have to wait now.

Central government employees and pensioners may have to wait longer for dearness allowance. Reports indicated that the implementation of Dearness Allowance (DA) could take place in September.

But now employees may have to wait for one more month. According to sources, the chances of getting any update regarding DA this month are a little less. For this, one will have to wait till Diwali. There is a chance that the government will announce it before the festival.

In 2022, the DA rates experienced a four percent increase on September 28. This year’s Diwali was on October 24. Last year, Dussehra was on October 24, and Diwali was on November 12.

During this period, the government also announced the increase prior to Diwali. As a result, speculations are now being made that the increase in DA will also be announced before Diwali.

What is DA?

DA stands for Dearness Allowance, also known as Dearness Allowance. Both government and non-government employees receive this amount. In light of rising inflation, the government has given employees DA.

The employee receives it by allocating a specific percentage of their base pay. Along with the basic salary, other amounts, such as house rent allowance, are also added to the DA, after which the salary is formed.
