The 7th Pay Commission implements this increase twice a year. This time around, the increase will benefit lakhs of central employees and pensioners. The cabinet meeting on September 25 may bring an end to the wait for the government’s announcement.
When will we announce the DA hike?
According to media reports, there is a possibility of a 3% increase in dearness allowance. Its basis is the data of AICPI IW Index from January to June 2024. The index registered an increase of 1.5 points in June. Following this, a decision was made to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3% starting from July 2024 for the employees. Following this increase, the dearness allowance will reach 53%.
How much will the salary increase?
Employees can increase their salary by 3% by increasing the dearness allowance. The salary of the employees who have a monthly salary of Rs 50,000 will increase by about Rs 1,500.
What is DA? DA means Dearness Allowance, also known as Dearness Allowance. Both government and non-government employees receive this amount. In light of rising inflation, the government has given employees the gift of DA. The government adds other amounts, such as house rent allowance, to the basic salary to form the DA.
