DA Hike: Good news is coming for central employees. It is said that they will soon get their dearness allowance along with its arrears. If media reports are to be believed, the arrears of 3 months will be released together. The central government has recently revised the dearness allowance for employees.

This time, their dearness allowance has increased by 2 percent. From January 1, 2025, their dearness allowance has increased from 53 percent to 55 per cent. This decision was made during the cabinet meeting held on March 28, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. More than one crore employees and pensioners will benefit from this decision.

When will the increased DA and arrears be available?

It is said that government employees will get an increase in DA in their salaries in April 2025. Along with this, the arrears of January, February and March 2025 are also going to be received together. This means that the employees will get the DA for the entire 3 months together. Now the monthly income of the employees will increase. DA arrears of 3 months will also be available at once.

How much will the salary increase in April?

If the minimum basic salary is Rs 18,000, there will be a monthly benefit of up to Rs 360. This will give a total arrears of Rs 1,080.

If the basic pension is Rs 9,000, there will be a benefit of Rs 180 every month, which will give a total arrears of Rs 540.

8th Pay Commission
The next DA hike will be applicable for July-December 2025, and it is likely to be announced in October or November 2025. Apart from this, after the implementation of the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission, DA will be merged with the basic salary.

DA will be listed in a separate section in the salary slip of April 2025.

Check the salary received in the month of April 2025 by comparing it with the previous salary.
