The Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana offers a scholarship of ₹6,000 per year (₹500 per month) to meritorious students from classes VI to IX, studying in recognized schools, who have taken up stamp collecting as a hobby. This scholarship aims to encourage students’ interest in philately while promoting academic excellence.

Competition Structure

The scholarship competition consists of two levels. The first level is a written exam focused on stamp collecting, and the second level involves a stamp-collecting project. The written exam will cover various topics related to postage stamps and the postal department, as well as questions on current affairs, history, geography, science, sports, and culture.

The written exam will carry 50 marks. The questions will include:
