Deendayal Sparsh Scheme: The Indian Postal Department has launched a new scheme to promote qualification and research in stamps. The name of this scheme is Deendayal Sparsh Scheme.

Students who apply under this scheme will be given a scholarship by the Indian Postal Department. Students interested in ticket collection under Deendayal Sparsh Scheme will be given a scholarship of ₹6000 per year. Students from class 6 to class 9 can apply under this scheme.

What is Deendayal Sparsh Scheme?

The Indian Post Office Department has launched this scheme to promote the collection of postage stamps. Students from class 6 to 9 who are interested in postage stamps can apply through this scheme. The applicant is given a scholarship of ₹500 per month. A competitive examination is conducted by circles under the Deendayal Sparsh scheme.

This competitive examination is a written and oral quiz competition on the basis of which the winners are selected. Scholarship money is given to those who participate in this competition or students who have a good academic record get the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, 920 students are selected at the all-India level.

Who can apply?

  • Students from class 6 to 9 can apply under Deendayal Sparsh Scheme.
  • The student should be admitted to any Indian recognised school.
  • The student must be a member of the school’s stamp club.
  • The student needs to score around 60% marks in the previous class.
  • Scheduled Caste, Tribe students need to score 55% marks.

What documents will be required?

Students applying under Deendayal Sparsh Scheme will have to submit some required documents. These required documents include Aadhaar card, residence certificate, school ID, admission card, previous class certificate, collection of postage stamps, bank passbook, mobile number, passport size photograph.
