Interested children’s can apply till August 31 to avail this scheme. Under the Deendayal Sparsh Yojana, the Postal Department will give scholarships to those students of class 6 to 9 studying in recognized schools who are fond of collecting postage stamps.

The benefit of the scholarship scheme will be given to 40 students.

Under this scheme, scholarships can be given to 40 students of the division. The students applying must be an member of the philately club of their school. In schools where there is no philately club, children having a philately account will also be able to avail the benefits of the scheme. In Moradabad, the postal department will make people aware about the club and philately account.

To apply for the scheme, students should have 60 percent marks and students of Scheduled Caste and Tribe should have 55 percent marks. The last date for application in that competition is 31 August. Students applying from Moradabad will go to Bareilly Zonal Office and give the exam. If selected from there, they will be given scholarship. Scholarship of six thousand rupees will be given annually at the rate of Rs 500 per month. The scholarship given under this scheme will be issued in the applicant’s bank account through DBT. Chief Postal Superintendent Amit Dutt said that by contacting schools, more and more children will be made aware so that they can take advantage of the scholarship scheme.
