DA increased in UP too

Recently, the Yogi government of UP has issued an order to increase the dearness allowance by 3%, giving Diwali gifts to the state employees. Now the employees of UP will get 53% DA. The increased dearness allowance will come into effect from July 1. Dearness allowance will be added to the salary received on October 30.

Employees of Arunachal Pradesh also got a gift

Apart from this, the Arunachal Pradesh government has also increased DA. The state government has increased DA by 3% for employees and pensioners.

What is Dearness Allowance

Dearness Allowance (DA) is given to employees to reduce the impact of inflation. It is a fixed percentage that is added to the basic salary of the employee. An increase in DA means that employees will get relief from financial difficulties caused by inflation.

How to get the benefit of DA

After the increase in DA, employees will see an increase in their salary. This increase will be visible on the salary slip. Apart from this, in some cases, employees may also get arrears for the last few months.

Important Note

DA hike does not benefit all employees. For some employees, the maximum limit of DA is fixed.

DA rates keep changing from time to time. Therefore, confirm the latest information from your employer.

This Diwali, many state governments have given a good gift to their employees in the form of a hike in DA. This step will prove to be a relief for the employees.
