The Maharashtra government runs many schemes to promote women’s empowerment. One of them is the “Majhi Ladki Bahin” scheme. Under this scheme, women of the state are given Rs 1500 every month as financial assistance. But this Diwali, the government has given a special gift to the women involved in the scheme.
About the Scheme
The Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme is a unique initiative of the Maharashtra government, which aims to financially empower the women of the state. Under this scheme, eligible women between the ages of 21 and 65 are given financial assistance of Rs 1,500 every month.
Diwali Bonus Dhamaka
This Diwali, the Maharashtra government has made a special announcement for the women involved in the “Majhi Ladki Bahin” scheme. In October, instead of the usual installment of Rs 1500, they will get Rs 3000 directly.
The government is depositing the fourth and fifth installments simultaneously in the accounts of women. This means that women will get double the financial support before Diwali so that they can celebrate the festival with more pomp.

Eligibility Criteria
You must be the permanent resident of the Maharashtra state.
Your age must be between the 21 to 65 years.
You can be a married, unmarried, divorced, abandoned, or widowed woman.
Your family’s yearly income should not be exceed from Rs 2.5 lakh.
You must have the Aadhaar card and a bank account with correct details.

You can apply by visiting the official website of the scheme https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in/.
Select the “Login as applicant” option on the homepage.
After this click on “Create Account”.
Enter all the information asked, such as name, address, date of birth, etc.
After submitting, you will have to submit some documents.
