Good news for women’s. The distribution of payments for February and March has kicked off for the women benefiting from the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana. Minister Aditi Tatkare shared that this distribution began on Friday, coinciding with International Women’s Day. As of Friday evening, Rs 1,500 has been credited to the bank accounts of over 2.52 crore women enrolled in the scheme.

There was some anticipation regarding the number of beneficiaries eligible for February. The delay in receiving the report from the Income Tax Department held up the distribution of the February payments. However, Minister Tatkare had previously confirmed that both the February and March payments would be distributed in honor of International Women’s Day.

Finally, on Friday, just before International Women’s Day, the February payments were released. “In celebration of International Women’s Day, we decided to deposit funds for both February and March into the accounts of our dear sisters. So, on March 7, we’ve credited the accounts of over 2.52 crore eligible women,” Tatkare stated.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting women. “The state government will always stand by our beloved sisters. We are launching various schemes for women at both the state and central levels to uphold their dignity and promote self-reliance. Additionally, to ensure their safety, we will be introducing a security app for women in the state,” he announced during a press conference following an event for International Women’s Day.

‘We committed to providing Rs 2,100 each month to the beneficiaries of the Ladkya Bahin scheme in our manifesto, and we are dedicated to keeping that promise. There’s absolutely no question about it. We are currently working on the plans for the Rs 2,100, and we will certainly honor our commitment, he clarified.
