Big news for EPFO members. If you are facing problem regarding PF claim then today’s article i s just for you. Because the EPFO, the organization operating your PF account, has brought a new initiative for you.

You will no longer have to make much effort to correct the mistake in your name in any of your particular PF account or UAN. It’ll happen in a jiffy. Just pay attention to what kind of correction you need in your name? Do you need to change your name to more than two letters? Do you want to keep the letters that match the pronunciation of your name while writing? Do you want to improve your name by two or fewer letters and also want to correct it according to the pronunciation? EPFO has come up with a better solution for all this.

Just follow the instructions given in that initiative and the error related to the name in your EPF account will be rectified. You will need to apply online according to that instruction. When you are filling an online application for correction in your name, EPFO will ask you for online documents. You only have to provide three documents. That too is not a special document. EPFO will give you a list of 19 documents. You have to attach any three of those documents. Yes. Make sure that all three documents support the kind of correction you want in your name.

These 19 documents are Aadhaar, passport, death certificate, birth certificate, driving license, service photo identity card of the central or state government or any of their banks or PSUs, bank passbook, PAN card, ration card, voter ID, pensioner photo ID, any kind of medical claim card, caste certificate, gazette notification of the name changed to change the full name or the first word of the name. Visa with Foreign Passport, Freedom Fighter Card, Person of Indian Origin Card, Overseas Citizen of India Card, Tibetan Refugee Card. Of these, only Aadhaar card is mandatory. You can take the other two other identities from the list.
