Complete Process to Renew Your Driving License

To renew your driving license, follow these steps:

1. Visit the ‘Parivahan’ Website:

Go to the official ‘Parivahan’ website to begin the renewal process.

2. Select Your State:

Choose your state. Here, we will provide information specific to Delhi.

3. Choose Driving License Services:

After selecting your state, click on the option related to driving license services.

4. Click on DL Renewal Option:

You will see the “DL Renewal” option. Click on it, and a new window will open.

5. Fill Out the Application Form:

In the new window, you will find an application form. Fill it out carefully and ensure all details are correct.

6. Collect Required Documents:

After filling out the form, gather all the necessary documents.

7. Pay the Fee:

Once you have all the documents, proceed to pay the required fee.

8. Download Receipt:

After payment, download the receipt for reference.

9. Visit the Nearest RTO:

Go to the nearest RTO on the scheduled date with your original documents and fee slip.

10. Document Verification:

The RTO will verify your documents. If everything is correct, your new DL will be issued.

Required Documents for DL Renewal:

Application Form No. 9

  • Form 1 (filled)
  • Aadhaar Card/Voter ID or any other identification document
  • Passport-sized photo and original driving license
  • Aadhar card (for e-verification, if applicable)

Renewal Duration:

  • Private motor vehicle: Renewed for 5 years.
  • Commercial vehicle: Renewed for 3 years.
