Benefits of Krishak Bandhu Scheme
The Krishak Bandhu Yojana provides several benefits to farmers and their families, which include:
Financial Assistance: The main benefit of the Krishak Bandhu Scheme is financial support. A sum of ₹2,00,000 is provided in case of death due to accidental causes, ensuring financial security for farmers and their families.
Improved Livelihood: This scheme helps develop the agricultural sector by offering financial aid to farmers. If the farmer owns one acre or more of land, an annual amount of ₹10,000 is provided for farming. If the land is less than one acre, an annual amount of ₹4,000 is given.
Eligibility Criteria for Krishak Bandhu Scheme
To be eligible for the Krishak Bandhu Scheme, farmers must meet the following conditions:
- The farmer must be a resident of West Bengal.
- The farmer must be between 18 and 60 years of age.
- The farmer must be actively engaged in farming, either as an owner-cultivator or tenant-cultivator.
- The farmer must have a valid Aadhaar number.
