SBI Credit Card
The country’s largest government bank, State Bank of India (SBI) is going to change the rules of its credit card from November 1. These are related to utility bill payments and finance charges associated with credit cards.
From November 1, a finance charge of 3.75 will have to be paid every month on unsecured SBI credit cards. Also, an additional charge of 1 percent will be levied on payments of more than Rs 50,000 for utility services including electricity, water, and LPG gas.
Mutual Fund Rules
SEBI has decided to implement new rules to prevent insider trading in mutual funds and increase transparency, which will be effective from November 1.
Under these new rules, any transaction of more than Rs 15 lakh in mutual fund units by employees of asset management companies (AMCs), their nominees, and close relatives will have to be reported to the company’s compliance officer.
New TRAI rules
Under this major change in the telecom sector from November 1, all telecom companies including Jio, and Airtel have been directed to implement traceability and blocking of spam messages.
Under this, telecom companies will have to immediately identify and block spam or fake numbers. This rule will protect users from unwanted and fake messages.
The effect of this will be that after identifying the suspicious message as spam, companies will be able to stop it from reaching the user, which will provide better security to the people.
