New Rules from December 1: The final month of 2024, December, has commenced as of today. Furthermore, starting on December first, there are additional adjustments such as the rise in the cost of LPG cylinder and the deadline for free Aadhaar update that could impact your everyday routine. The cost of air travel may rise due to the increase in Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices.
LPG price has increased
Since December 1, the cost of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has gone up by ₹ 16.50. Currently, the prices are set at ₹ 1818.50 in Delhi (previously ₹ 1802), ₹ 1927 in Kolkata (previously ₹ 1911.50), ₹ 1771 in Mumbai (previously ₹ 1754.50), and ₹ 1980.50 in Chennai. Nonetheless, the cost of a 14.2 kg local gas cylinder remains unchanged. The price in Delhi is ₹803, while in Mumbai it is ₹802.50. Small traders, hotels, and restaurants utilizing commercial cylinders will be impacted by this rise.
Free Aadhaar card update date
If you want to update your Aadhaar card information without any charges, you have until December 14, 2024. Aadhaar allows card holders to change their name, address, and date of birth. This complimentary service can be accessed online via the myAadhaar portal as well. Following the due date, updating Aadhaar offline at a center will have a Rs 50 charge.
SBI regulation
SBI has revised the regulations for credit cards. From December 1, 2024, it will no longer be possible to earn reward points on purchases from digital gaming platforms / merchants.
Regulation from TRAI
New regulations on commercial messages and OTP have been put in place by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The goal is to detect and stop messages from questionable numbers, manage phishing and spam calls / messages. Telecom companies will immediately block suspicious numbers now.
