LPG Price Hike: At the start of the new month, there has been an increase in the price of gas cylinders. Gas cylinder prices have increased once more. Indian Oil has surprised consumers by raising the price of gas cylinders by Rs 16.50, causing inflation. Following the rise, the cost of a 19 kg gas cylinder in Delhi is now at Rs 1818.50 per cylinder.
It is reassuring that the price of domestic gas cylinders has remained unchanged. Up to now, the cost of a 14.2 kg gas cylinder in Delhi stays at Rs 808. Since August 2024, the price has remained constant. With the rising need for energy, oil companies have hiked up the cost of gas cylinders. The government-owned oil company has once more added to the inflationary pressure on the population, raising the cost of LPG cylinders.
As per the rate list on Indian Oil’s website, the cost of a 19 kg LPG cylinder has gone up by Rs 16.50 per cylinder starting December 1, 2024. The price of commercial gas cylinders or Halwai cylinders has gone up, while the price of 14.2 kg cylinders used in homes remains the same. Following the increase in rates, the cost of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Delhi has risen from Rs 1802 to Rs 1818.50 per cylinder. Just as a reminder, the price of this cylinder was raised by Rs 62 all at once last month, specifically in November.

Before, the cylinder that was priced at Rs 1740 in October had increased to Rs 1802 in November. In September 2024, the price of a commercial cylinder was Rs 1691.50, it went up to Rs 1652.50 in August, and in July 2024 it was Rs 1646, indicating a constant increase in price.
