It is very important to link the PAN card with the Aadhaar card. If someone does not link a PAN card with an Aadhaar card, then the PAN card will become inactive. Banking and income tax returns cannot be filed. Let us tell you that a notification has been issued recently by the Central Board of Direct Taxes. In which it has been said that all those who have obtained their PAN card by giving Aadhaar enrollment ID before October 1, 2024, will have to give their Aadhaar number.

For this, the Central Board of Direct Taxes has given a deadline of 31 December 2025. All these PAN card holders will have to tell their Aadhaar number to the Income Tax Department by this date. If your PAN card has also been made with the enrollment ID during this period. Or you have not yet linked your PAN card with Aadhaar. Then for this you will have to go to the official website of Income Tax www.incometax.gov.in.

After this, you will have to click on the option of Link Aadhaar. Then you will have to enter your Aadhaar number, PAN number information. After this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number. After entering which, your PAN will be linked to Aadhaar.
