PM Awas Yojana: After deciding to extend the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin till the year 2028-29, now the Ministry of Rural Development. The government of India has taken another big decision.
Actually once again a survey will be conducted by the Ministry of Rural Development. Government of India to identify the eligible people deprived of housing in rural areas. The date of which will be announced soon. Many parameters of marking have been revised.
Revised parameters
According to the revised parameters. those families who have lived in one or two room houses with raw walls and raw roofs will be eligible for housing. Apart from this all homeless families will be eligible.
Not only this. shelterless families. destitute and those who live by begging. manual scavengers, primitive tribal groups. as well as legally freed bonded laborers will be eligible for housing.
Instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has instructed every officer to get this survey work done in UP in a correct and transparent manner. It should also be ensured that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of being included in the list during the survey. There should be no negligence in this work.
Residing as a tenant
Let us tell you that under the PM Awas Yojana, people are given houses by giving them loans. Applications are invited for houses from homeless families living as tenants. Beneficiaries have to deposit 10 percent contribution amount and participate in the lottery to get the house allotted in their name.
