Very good news for ration card holders. Ration card holders can look forward to a special surprise in the new year! During the winter season, the supply department will be providing an additional one kilogram of rice to eligible households, alongside their usual wheat and rice. Starting January 5, the distribution of free rations will commence. Antyodaya card holders will continue to receive their regular allocation of 17 kg of wheat and 18 kg of rice.

Updated Ration Distribution Schedule

Reports indicate that millets will be available exclusively to eligible household card holders. Each unit will receive one kg of millets, 1.70 kg of rice, and 2.30 kg of wheat. The District Coordination Officer (DCO) has issued a new schedule for ration distribution to all quota holders. The system of providing five kg of rations will apply to each unit.

Who Will Receive Millets?

Information reveals that certain areas, including Tehsil Nawabganj, Richa Block, Bareilly Mahanagar, and Baheri Nagar, will not have millets available for eligible household card holders. In these locations, wheat and rice will continue to be distributed as usual. DSO Neeraj Singh shared these details.

Mera Ration 2.0

In the upcoming year, there will be no need for a physical ration card, as everything will be managed through the new app. The central and state governments are implementing various initiatives to support those in need. As part of this effort, the Government of India has introduced the ‘Mera Ration 2.0’ app, allowing individuals to access rations without a traditional ration card.
