Various schemes have been brought by the central government to help the common man. In today’s report, one such scheme will be discussed which is PM Vishwakarma Yojana. The Modi government launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana on September 17, 2023, to provide assistance to artisans and craftsmen. People are showing a lot of interest in this scheme. Banks have opened over 2.02 lakh accounts under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana till October 31 and sanctioned loans worth Rs 1,751.20 crore, Parliament was informed on Tuesday.

 

Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, 18 traditional workers have been kept. These include carpenters, boat builders, blacksmiths, hammer and tool makers, goldsmiths, potters, stonesmiths, tanners, masons, carpets, broom and basket makers, washermen, tailors, fishing net makers, etc.

 

How to Apply

 

The application of PM Vishwakarma Yojana can be done online through the official website pmvishwakarma.gov.in. After opening the website, click on the option of Apply Online and complete the registration after filling the necessary information. For registration, the beneficiary must have Aadhaar card, PAN card, income certificate, identity card, residence certificate and bank passbook.

 

Rs 3 lakh loan at 5% interest

 

Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, loan facility is provided to set up one’s own employment or enterprise. Under this scheme, a loan of Rs 3 lakh is given. This loan is being given to the beneficiaries at only 5 percent interest. The loan amount will be given to the beneficiary in 2 installments. In the first phase, a loan of Rs 1 lakh and in the second phase a loan of Rs 2 lakh is given.

 

What is eligibility?

Must be a citizen of the Government of India.

 

Age should be between 18 years to 50 years.

 

Must be involved in any one of the 18 trades included in the plan.

 

It is necessary to be one of the 140 castes included in the scheme.
