This trend continues as the team now has a new coach following the departure of South Africa veteran Gary Kirsten. On Monday, 18th November, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that former fast bowler Aaqib Javed will take over as the new head coach for ODIs and T20s. The PCB has also said that during this time a permanent head coach will also be searched, who will be appointed after the Champions Trophy.
