Subsidy on Dish Cultivation: Farmers have received encouraging news regarding their income prospects. They now have the opportunity to enhance their earnings by engaging in fish farming alongside traditional agriculture. By constructing ponds, farmers can generate substantial revenue. The government is actively supporting those who pursue fish farming in conjunction with their agricultural activities.
Government will grant a 60 percent subsidy
A subsidy is being provided based on the expenses incurred for pond construction, offering financial relief to farmers. Specifically, the government will grant a 60 percent subsidy to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and women farmers, while general and Other Backward Class (OBC) farmers will receive a 40 percent subsidy. To benefit from this initiative, farmers must submit an online application to the fisheries department.
Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana
The subsidy will be funded with 60 percent from the central government and 40 percent from the state government. To access the advantages of this program, applicants must register under the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. Following financial approval, subsidies will be allocated for pond construction, geo-tagging, and submission of relevant documentation.
Apply through PMMSY
Interested individuals should apply online through the PMMSY portal using their Single Sign-On (SSO) ID. Applications can also be submitted via any e-Mitra service. The fisheries department will review the online applications and forward them to the Directorate in Jaipur, where administrative and financial approvals will be granted. Once financial approval is obtained, subsidies will be provided for the establishment of a small pond on the applicant’s land, contingent upon the submission of geo-tagging evidence.
