It has been learned that the Ministry of Urban Development has sent the draft note and guidelines to the Cabinet for approval. It is expected that it can get approval within 2 to 3 months.
In Budget 2024, an allocation of Rs 2.2 lakh crore has been made for PMAY-U in 5 years. News is coming out that the government may give interest rebate on houses up to Rs 50 lakh in the new housing scheme.
Target to build 1 crore houses
Through this rebate, the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban are going to get the benefit of a discount of three to 6.5 percent in interest rates.
