In Budget 2024, an allocation of Rs 2.2 lakh crore has been made for PMAY-U in 5 years. News is coming out that the government may give interest rebate on houses up to Rs 50 lakh in the new housing scheme.

Target to build 1 crore houses

Through this rebate, the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban are going to get the benefit of a discount of three to 6.5 percent in interest rates.

For your information, let us tell you that at present, interest rebate is available on houses up to Rs 45 lakh in the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme.
