Good news for Govt employees. There is good news for the employees and pensioners of Haryana. According to the 5th and 6th Pay Commissions, government employees and pensioners taking salaries and pensioners will get more Dearness Allowance (DA) in Haryana.
Dearness Allowance hiked by 7 percent
The Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees and pensioners availing of the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission has been increased by 7 percent. With this increase, they will now get 246 percent DA instead of 239. At the same time, the DA of employees and pensioners taking salaries under the 5th Pay Commission has increased by 12%. They will be given 4.55 percent Dearness Allowance instead of 4.43 percent.
Anurag Rastogi issued orders
Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department Anurag Rastogi has issued orders in this regard. Rastogi informed me that the increased dearness allowance will be applicable from July 1, 2024. On November 15, the central government announced to increase the DA of employees under the 5th and 6th Pay Commission.
A total of four months’ arrears from July to October will be given along with the salary and pension received in January, while the salary and pension of November received next month will include the increased DA.
7th Pay Commission comes into force in Haryana
The Seventh Pay Commission is in force in Haryana, but still a large number of employees and pensioners are getting salary and pension according to the Fifth and Sixth Pay Commission. According to the 7th Pay Commission, the Dearness Allowance of about three lakh employees and two lakh 60 thousand pensioners has already been increased from 50 percent to 53 percent.
