DA Hike Update: Good news for lakhs of state government employees. Now they will get more money in upcoming days. On the occasion of the 78th Foundation Day of Himachal Pradesh, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given a big gift to the employees. The CM has announced that an additional 3% installment of DA will be released to the employees from June 1.

The CM further said that the state government has so far released 14 percent DA to the employees. The outstanding arrears will be paid to retired employees between 70 and 75 years from June 1. Let us tell you that in the budget presented in March, the CM had announced to give dearness allowance to the employees at the rate of 3 percent, which will be implemented from May 15. 1.80 lakh employees will benefit from this.

Many installments are still pending

According to the information, 3 installments of dearness allowance (4 percent from 1-7-2023, 4 percent from 1-1-2024, 3 percent from 1-7-2024) are payable to the employees in the state. For its payment, an amount of about Rs 580 crore, Rs 580 crore and Rs 435 crore is required every year respectively.

Since the Modi government at the Centre has increased DA by 2% from January 2025, DA is also pending from January 2025. Currently, central government employees are getting 55% DA, while Himachal Pradesh employees are getting 42%. After the 3% increase, it will reach 45%.

CM said that Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana is becoming the basis of empowerment of our mothers and sisters. Mothers and sisters of Pangi region will get three months’ installments of Rs 1500 each, which will help them become self-reliant. This scheme is proving to be a milestone in honoring the domestic labor of mothers and sisters and is also providing them financial support. The lump sum amount will also ensure prosperity of thousands of families.
