Finally the government has launched the Aadhaar Good Governance Portal to simplify the authentication request process. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) is on a mission to make Aadhaar more user-friendly, simplifying life and enhancing access to services for everyone.

According to UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, Aadhaar is boosting the growth of the digital economy in India. They’ve rolled out the Aadhaar Good Governance Portal to streamline the submission and approval process for proposals, following the set guidelines.

This will ensure trustworthy transactions. Aadhaar is recognized as the most reliable digital ID globally, with over a billion Indians placing their trust in it over the past ten years. There have been more than 100 billion authentications using Aadhaar. The ministry believes these updates will benefit both service providers and users by facilitating secure transactions.

The portal will act as a helpful resource, offering detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for entities looking to apply for Aadhaar authentication. Plus, it will allow for face authentication to be integrated into customer-facing apps of private companies, making authentication possible anytime and anywhere.

To make Aadhaar more user-friendly and simplify life for citizens while improving access to services, the ministry suggested new rules allowing organizations beyond just government departments to use Aadhaar for authentication.

The recent changes now let Aadhaar users enjoy smooth services across various sectors like hospitality, healthcare, credit rating agencies, e-commerce, educational institutions, and service aggregators.
