According to reports, the Yogi Adityanath government has now announced a rebate of up to 100 percent in the electricity bill on private tube wells of farmers in the state. According to reports, AK Sharma, Energy Minister in the Yogi government, has given this information. He said that there are about 14,73,000 rural tubewells in the state, while there are 5188 urban tubewells.
Govt takes big decision
Farmers will be given the benefit of a rebate on their electricity bills for both types of tube wells by the government. It is worth mentioning that on behalf of the Yogi government, at the time of the elections, the farmers of the state had promised to give a 100 percent discount on private tube wells. Now the Yogi government has fulfilled this promise. This is no less than a big gift for the farmers.
Not only UP, the state government has given the benefit of free electricity to the farmers of Punjab. The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has announced to provide free electricity to farmers from this year. The government provides 8 hours of electricity to the farmers every day in Punjab. The Eknath Shinde government in Madhya Pradesh has announced free electricity supply to 44 lakh farmers in Maharashtra for five years from April this year to next year. To install this, a 60 percent subsidy will be given by the government; farmers will have to pay only a 40 percent amount. Solar pumps will make the electricity of farmers zero.
