UIDAI frequently recommends that individuals with Aadhaar cards should regularly update their card details, such as address, phone number, photo, and other information, in order to maintain accuracy and security of their information. Individuals have the option to make changes to their Aadhaar information either through the internet or in person based on their preference. Nonetheless, only online changes to demographic details are permitted by UIDAI.
In order to make changes to biometrics or other information, individuals must go to the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre. Discussing updating the number on Aadhaar, if you have switched your SIM card or wish to amend your phone number, you will need to visit the Permanent Enrollment Center to make the change. Go to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra/Aadhaar Card Centre for a visit. To find the closest Aadhaar center, simply click on ‘Locate Enrolment Centre’ on uidai.gov.in.
In order to update your mobile number, an Aadhaar support representative will provide you with a form for completion. Complete the Aadhaar update/correction form. Verify your form thoroughly before handing it over to the Aadhaar officer.
There is a minimum service fee of Rs 50 that will be charged for the update. Make the payment to the Aadhaar officer. Following the transaction, the Aadhaar official will provide a receipt with the Update Request Number (URN).

For status updates, visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ and choose Check Enrolment and Update Status option. Provide your URN number along with the captcha.
The UIDAI database will be updated with your new mobile number within a period of 90 days.
