EPFO: There has been a notable reduction in complaints concerning the server of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Following the recent updates to the software and IT infrastructure associated with the EPFO portal, the server generally operates effectively; however, delays in processing claims persist.

Prolonged waiting periods for the transfer of funds

Members are experiencing prolonged waiting periods for the transfer of funds to their EPFO accounts after submitting claims, leading to an increase in grievances. Particularly, complaints directed at EPFO via social media platforms have surged. In numerous instances, members find themselves waiting a month or longer for claim resolution.

Organization is actively addressing the challenges

Additionally, there have been reports of claims being denied without clear justification, even when all required information is provided in the application form. Conversely, EPFO officials assert that the organization is actively addressing the challenges that hinder members from accessing their funds. Significant improvements have been implemented, and further enhancements are anticipated in the upcoming months. The EPFO is currently developing IT System 3.0, which is expected to be operational by June. Some individuals have also reported issues with the EPFO portal, claiming that their forms are being rejected without proper review.

A member expressed his frustration by tagging EPFO, stating that despite submitting Form 10C and Form 19, his claims continue to be denied without adequate examination. He has lodged complaints on four separate occasions, yet no resolution has been provided. In response, EPFO requested the complainant’s complaint number and UAN number for further investigation.
