ICICI Bank is set to perform maintenance from 11:55 pm on 14 December 2024 to 06:00 am on 15 December 2024, which may cause disruptions in money transactions. RTGS deposit and withdrawal transactions started from 11:55 pm on December 14, 2024, to 06:00 am on December 15, 2024, will be postponed and handled after 06:00 am on December 15, 2024. During this time, ICICI Bank customers can utilize NEFT, IMPS, or UPI through iMobile or Internet Banking.

What is RTGS?

RTGS, which means Real-Time Gross Settlement, is a banking system that enables the electronic transfer of money between bank accounts instantly. No transaction fees apply for RTGS requests made via any online channels, such as Internet Banking, iMobile Pay app, and Pockets app. Nonetheless, transactions ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh conducted at any ICICI Bank branch incur a fee of Rs 20 + GST, while those between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh incur a fee of Rs 45 + GST.

The money transfer will be processed within 30 minutes after the message is received. Plan the transaction ahead of time; the deadline for arranging an RTGS transaction in advance is 3 business days.

How to send money using RTGS from ICICI Bank net banking?

Login and add beneficiary

Go to the ‘Funds Transfer’ tab under the ‘Payments and Transfer’ tab.

Click on ‘Add a Payee’, and then select the beneficiary type as ‘Other Bank Payee’.

Enter the beneficiary account details or credit card number.

Select beneficiary’s IFSC using bank and branch name.

Click on ‘Add’, then click on ‘Confirm’.

Authenticate the registration using OTP. After successful authentication, the payee becomes available for transactions.
