New Delhi: From the assembly to the Lok Sabha elections, opposition political parties have been raising questions on the voter process of the Election Commission. Some political parties have even attacked the Election Commission by making allegations like irregularities in the voter list. The Election Commission has now taken a big step to end the claims of irregularities in the voter list.

Soon, there is a plan to link the voter list with Aadhaar. The Election Commission means to bring transparency to the voter list. Like bank account and phone number, the voter list will also be listed with the Aadhaar card. The Election Commission is considering it deeply afresh. However, two years ago, the Election Commission did not declare the Aadhaar card mandatory for the voter list in front of the Supreme Court.

There will be a discussion with the CEO of UIDAI.

The Election Commission plans to link the Aadhaar card with the voter list. For this, a critical discussion will be held on Tuesday with the Union Home Secretary, Law Secretary and the CEO of the Aadhaar Scheme, i.e. UIDAI. As soon as it is linked with Aadhaar, fake voters will automatically disappear from the voter list.

The Election Commission of India is expected to take a big decision on this soon. The picture is likely to be clear only after this meeting. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Commissioner Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr Vivek Joshi will participate in the meeting to be held on Tuesday, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Law Secretary Rajiv Mani and UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar. Trinamool Congress has seriously raised the issue of voters having the same EPIC number in West Bengal, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SCP) in Maharashtra and BJD in Odisha.
