Will Old PAN Cards Become Invalid?

No, old PAN cards will remain valid even after the introduction of PAN 2.0. There is no need for existing PAN cardholders to apply for a new one unless an update or correction is required.

Is It Mandatory to Get PAN 2.0?

No, everyone doesn’t need to get PAN 2.0. Only new applicants and those updating their existing PAN details will receive the upgraded version.

Will There Be a Fee for PAN 2.0?

How to Apply for PAN 2.0 Online?

You can easily apply for a new PAN Card online and receive it directly in your email inbox. Before starting the process, check whether your PAN Card was issued by UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Ltd. (UTIITSL) or the National Securities Depository Ltd. (NSDL). You can find this information on the back of your PAN Card.

Steps to Apply for PAN 2.0 Through NSDL:

Visit the NSDL e-PAN Portal

Go to the official NSDL e-PAN portal to begin the application process.

Fill in Your Details

Enter your PAN number, date of birth, and Aadhaar Card details.

Verify Your Information

Check your details carefully, then select your preferred method to receive a one-time password (OTP). Enter the OTP to confirm and proceed.

Submit Your Application

The application process is free for up to three requests within 30 days of PAN issuance. If you request more than three times, there will be a charge of Rs. 8.26, including GST, for each additional request.

Receive Your e-PAN

After completing the process and making any necessary payment, your e-PAN will be sent to your registered email ID within 30 minutes.
