In today’s pre-open session for ITC Hotels’ price discovery, the share price of parent company ITC was adjusted to ₹26 per share on the NSE. Both stock exchanges, BSE and NSE, held a special session from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM for ITC Limited shares, as today marks the record date for the demerger.
Trading in equity and F&O segments for ITC started at 10:00 AM. After the equilibrium price was discovered during the call auction session, ITC shares adjusted to ₹455.6 on NSE and ₹455 on BSE. The demerger of ITC Hotels officially took effect on January 1, and ITC shares became ex-demerger on January 6. Shareholders with ITC shares in their demat accounts will receive ITC Hotels shares as per the demerger terms. For every 10 shares of ITC held, shareholders will receive 1 share of ITC Hotels.

The special session held to determine the share price of ITC Hotels has concluded. ITC shares fell by ₹26 (5.4%) to ₹455.60 on the NSE and ₹27 (5.6%) to ₹455 on the BSE.

After two consecutive days of hitting a circuit limit, the stock will be removed from the index on the third day, even if it hits an upper circuit on the third day. Following this, ITC Hotels will trade as a separate company on the exchange.
