Good news for state people’s. Just like the central government and many other state governments, the West Bengal government is launching several schemes for the benefit and welfare of the people of the state. Some of these schemes are provided by the state with direct allowances. Similarly, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced an increase in allocation for another new scheme. Which projects have been increased?

 

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present at the World Indigenous Peoples’ Day event in Jhargram recently. She said that the state government has taken various schemes to stand by the tribal groups. He made another big announcement on the occasion of Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary on Friday. The government increased the allowance for the Jai Johar Scheme.

 

New Initiatives for Indigenous Development

 

Mamata Banerjee was inaugurating a week-long program to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda at the Adivasi Bhawan premises in New Town. Speaking on the occasion, CM said, “The budget allocation for tribal development will also increase a lot.”

 

Jai Johar Scheme in West Bengal Amount Increse

 

The Chief Minister said that the allocation of pension subscribers under the ‘Jai Johar scheme’ will be increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,800. The move is expected to increase financial assistance to pension-receiving tribal members.

 

Announcement of new hostel

 

Mamata also announced the construction of 310 new hostels for tribal students. This will solve the housing problem of indigenous students to some extent, and they will be able to study in a better environment.
