Another big news is waiting for pensioners’. Now government pensioners only have time up to November 30. Actually, pensioners have to submit their life certificates by November 30 every year. However, the date for submission of life certificates for pensioners above 80 years of age has started from October 1. Pensioners can easily submit the life certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan portal. For this, pensioners have to download the Jeevan Pramaan app from the portal. Apart from this, a pensioner will have to submit his fingerprints using the tools required by UIDAI. You can use an OTG cable to connect the fingerprint reader to the smartphone. The Jeevan Pramaan website has a list of UIDAI-mandated devices.
Download this app
To avoid any hassle, you have to download the app. This is a biometrically enabled digital service for Jeevan Pramaan pensioners. Pensioners of the central government, state government, or any other government organization can avail of this facility. Download the PC/mobile application to register yourself, or alternatively visit the nearest Jeevan Pramaan Center. Android users can download the ‘Jeevan Pramaan app’ from the Play Store. According to the Jeevan Pramaan portal, here is the easy process to create a digital life certificate from the Jeevan Pramaan portal.
Start the process
1. After downloading, pensioners will have to enter their Aadhaar number, PPO number, bank account, and bank name. A mobile number has to be given, after which OTP will be received.
2. Enter the OTP. Enter the name and email ID in the new screen and click on ‘Scan Finger’. Scan fingerprints on a fingerprint scanner or perform an iris scan on an iris scanner connected to a PC/Mobiprocess.
3. Once the fingerprint/iris is authenticated, the ‘Device Registration’ message will appear on the system screen, as shown in the screen below. Click OK.
4. After this, authentication and a certificate will be generated. Enter Aadhaar and mobile number.
5. Enter the OTP and click OK.
6. Enter the necessary information, like pensioner name, PPO number, pension type, sanctioning authority name, disbursing agency, email and bank account number, etc., on the next screen given below. After this, select Remarried options and Re-employed options.
7. Step Then click on the ‘Scan Finger’ button, and this will start the finger/iris scanning process.
When the fingerprint or iris authentication is successful, the life certificate of the pensioner will be displayed, and an SMS acknowledgement will be issued on the pensioner’s mobile phone. This SMS contains the Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID.
How to download the certificate
Using the generated Jeevan Pramaan ID or Aadhaar number, pensioners can not only access the DLC at the time of DLC generation but also by downloading a PDF copy of the generated digital certificate from the Jeevan Pramaan website (https://jeevanpramaan.gov).
